By gathering, systematizing and analyzing experiences and lessons identified by police officers having served in, or provided training towards, peace operations, stabilization missions and other assistance missions, this project will set up a mechanism for generating greater knowledge and identifying lessons learned concerning police in international missions. The purpose is to provide practical, experience-based recommendations for enhancing impact and effectiveness of future missions.
There are four main components of this project:
- Other countries’ experiences in gathering information on police deployments
- Experience of individual Norwegian police officers
- International police reform assistance
