Tora Berge Naterstad was a research assistant in the Research Group for Russia, Asia and International Trade in 2020. She worked at the project «LORAX - Understanding Ecosystemic Politics».

Naterstad has a bachelor’s degree in International Studies from the University of Oslo and SOAS University of London, and has studied Russian language and society in Oslo and at Moscow Higher School of Economics. She wrote her master’s thesis in Political Science at the University of Oslo, on biopolitics and Russian nation building. Her research interests include nationalism and politics in Russia, critical security studies, philosophy of science, and the role of identity in international relations.
