Mathilde Tomine Eriksdatter Giske

Junior Research Fellow

Mathilde Tomine Eriksdatter Giske works as junior research fellow in the Research group on security and defence at NUPI. She holds two master’s degrees, one in political science and one in history, from the University of Agder.

Giske’s master’s thesis in political science analysed EU foreign policy, with a particular focus on the concept of “resilience”, which has become one of the Union’s key concepts. Her research interests revolve around EU foreign and security policy, global order, transnational relations, political extremism and power structures.
