Anab Ovidie Grand

Junior Research Fellow

Anab is Junior Resarch Fellow at NUPI and works on the Training for Peace Programme, in the Research group on peace, conflict and development.

Anab earned a master's degree in African Studies in 2017 focusing on youth engagement in Madagascar and later completed additional studies on UN Peacekeeping Operations w/ a focus on protection of civilians and the use of force. During her studies she conducted field research in Somaliland, Ghana and Madagascar.

Anab previously worked for the Universal Tolerance Organization and Doctors Without Borders in Norway, the YMCA in Madagascar and the Permanent Mission of Norway to the African Union in Ethiopia. Her primary research interests include the African Union, peace operations, protection of civilians, mediation in addition to women/youth peace and security.
