Abdyrakhman Sulaimanov

Visiting Research Fellow

Abdyrakhman Sulaimanov is a visiting research fellow and a member of the Research Group on Russia, Asia, and International Trade at NUPI.

In 2018, Sulaimanov graduated with a MA degree in Politics and Security (Central Asia) from the OSCE Academy in Bishkek with the thesis “China’s Belt and Road Initiative versus the National Interests of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan”.

His undergraduate programme was in International Relations at Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University. He was a research assistant at the Center for Middle Eastern Strategic Studies in Ankara (Turkey) in 2016.

Abdyrakhman Sulaimanov ’s academic and professional interests are international relations theories, Central Asian political economy and China’s foreign policy.
